The main aim of Wildhood Adventures is to enable children to have huge amounts of fun outdoors, away from screens.
As a child, I was never happier than when I was outdoors, playing in the woods (in fact, as an adult the same is still true!). These days, I think children need those outdoors experiences even more. Once you enter the world underneath the canopy your troubles disappear, and the stresses and strains of modern life fall away.
I’ve always been passionate about adventure and the outdoors. In my early twenties I became the youngest person to cycle solo around the world, crossing 27 countries in the process. I then spent seven years as an officer in the British Army, spending many a night under the stars. I am now a father of three children, and work as a teacher at Hall Grove School, where I combine academic and sporting classes, with heading up outdoor education. My latest passion is to melt metal using stone age technology - outdoor activities are never boring with me!

The location
These camps take place in the woods and grounds at Stonehill Lodge (owned by my parents) which is quite literally my favourite place on Earth. It’s a safe and secure setting for your child to build their confidence in the great outdoors and have heaps of fun.
